A Level – AQA Specification
AS Level
The AS year currently comprises of four units
• Rivers and flood management
• Population change
• Coastal processes
• Health issues
There is also a component based around geographical skills. Students complete a residential field course in North Yorkshire in order to prepare for this exam
A2 Level
The A2 year currently comprises of three units and a fieldwork investigation
• World cities
• Climatic hazards
• Geomorphological hazards
The field work investigation involves two days conducting a study in the local area
